Ian Turner

Director of Cabrini Emergency Department

With nearly two decades of dedication to Emergency Medicine, I’ve had the privilege of serving diverse communities across metropolitan, regional, and rural Australia. Over the past 10 years, my focus has been deeply rooted in the private not-for-profit sector of Emergency Medicine, where I’ve led educational initiatives, championed quality assurance, and managed complex patient feedback. Since September 2020 I’ve held the role of Director of the Emergency Medicine.

I’m passionate about:
Optimising Patient Experience by crafting care models tailored to the unique needs of our department’s local community.
Pragmatic Safety & Operations by adopting straightforward, effective approaches to ensure patient safety and streamlined care processes.
Innovative Tech Integration by harnessing the power of novel technologies to enhance the staff workplace and patient experience.
Fostering Collaborative Teams through cultivation of an environment where collaboration and respect are paramount, allowing teams to thrive.
Enhanced Communication by elevating dialogues around shared decision-making and end-of-life care to ensure clarity, compassion, and understanding.
